Shop Talk: Simple Pleasures

Simple Pleasures is tucked away from the other main Providence shopping areas, but it is well worth the trip. Driving up to the store, you see an ivy covered building with colorful flags flying, creating an air of festivity. The inside is just as beautifully arranged as the outside, with hard to find ethnic pieces and coveted bath and body products lining the shelves. For a small store, Simple Pleasures packs in so much, yet never feels crowded.

I fell in love with almost every object that I picked up, but a few of my favorites were; the suzanis stacked high, the funky metal birds artfully arranged on vintage objects, the shelves of beautiful pottery, and the display cases and bowls full of amazing ethnic jewelry.

Around the side of the store is the garden, with potting supplies and other gardening tools for sale. I was drawn to the paper lanterns scattered artfully throughout the garden. What a great idea for entertaining in your own garden!

The ladies at Simple Pleasures could not be sweeter and I am so thankful for the opportunity to photograph this treasure of a store. The sign that hangs above their door could not be more true, service and amazing selection obviously are priorities at Simple Pleasures!
